The Glory of Gokarṇa: Description of Nandikeśvara’s Boon and the Assembly of Deities on Mount Muñjavat
phaṇāśatadharo rūpī bhūriśṛṅga ivācalaḥ || arimejayasaṃyuktaḥ prajñāvān bhujageśvaraḥ
Varāha (default, dialogue framework)
It illustrates Purāṇic poetic comparison (upamā) and the tendency to describe nāgas with monumental, mountain-like imagery to signal cosmic scale.
No specific place-name is given; the mountain comparison is metaphorical rather than topographical.
The verse is descriptive; however, it valorizes prajñā (discernment) as an esteemed quality.
