एकभक्तेन दानेन कर्तव्यं द्वादशीव्रतम् ॥ न करोति यदा भूमे व्रतं वा दानमेव वा
ekabhaktena dānena kartavyaṁ dvādaśīvratam || na karoti yadā bhūme vrataṁ vā dānam eva vā
द्वादशी का व्रत एक बार खाना खाके करना चाहिए और दान भी देना चाहिए। हे धरती, जब कोई न तो व्रत करता है ना ही दान देता है।
