Varāha (default, dialogue framework)
It juxtaposes desire-fulfillment in an otherworldly setting with devotion to preta-gaṇas, indicating layered afterlife imaginaries and ritual-ancestral networks in Purāṇic thought.
No terrestrial location is specified; 'there' refers to an implied otherworldly realm in the surrounding narrative.
The verse suggests that disciplined conduct and ritual devotion (including toward departed beings) are linked to favorable post-mortem states.
