पिपीलिकादिभूतानि प्रेतभागं च सर्वशः॥ कृत्वा तु तर्पणं देवि यस्यार्थे तस्य कल्पयेत्
pipīlikādibhūtāni pretabhāgaṁ ca sarvaśaḥ || kṛtvā tu tarpaṇaṁ devi yasyārthe tasya kalpayet
देवी, छोटे-छोटे जीव जैसे चींटी भी इसमें आते हैं। जो लोग मर चुके हैं उनके लिए भी पानी डालो। जिसके लिए यह सब कर रहे हो, उसके लिए ही करो।
