नामगोत्रमुदाहृत्य प्रेताय तदनन्तरम् ॥ शीघ्रमावाहयेद्भूमे दर्भपात्रे च भूतले ॥
nāma-gotram udāhṛtya pretāya tad-anantaram || śīghram āvāhayet bhūme darbha-pātre ca bhūtale ||
उसका नाम और गोत्र बोलना है। फिर तुरंत उस आत्मा को बुलाना है। ज़मीन पर दर्भ घास का पानी रखना है। उसमें वो आत्मा आती है।
