अथ पिण्डकल्पश्राद्धोत्पतिप्रकरणम् ॥ धरण्युवाच ॥ देवदेवोऽसि देवानां लोकनाथोऽपरिग्रहः ॥ आशौचकर्म विधिवच्छ्रोतुमिच्छामि माधव ॥
atha piṇḍakalpaśrāddhotpattiprakaraṇam || dharaṇy uvāca || devadevo 'si devānāṁ lokanātho 'parigrahaḥ || āśaucakarma vidhivac chrotum icchāmi mādhava ||
अब पिंड दान और श्राद्ध के बारे में बात शुरू होती है। धरणी ने कहा, आप देवताओं के बड़े देव हैं। आप सब जगह के मालिक हैं। आप कुछ भी अपना नहीं मानते। मैं जानना चाहती हूँ कि जब कोई मर जाता है तब क्या करना चाहिए। सही तरीका क्या है वोह बताइए।
