कृत्वा योगेन चात्मानं साम्बस्याग्रे रविस्तदा ॥ वरं वृणीष्व भद्रं ते मद्व्रतख्यापनाय च ॥
kṛtvā yogena cātmānaṁ sāmbasyāgre ravis tadā || varaṁ vṛṇīṣva bhadraṁ te madvratakhyāpanāya ca ||
फिर सूरज अपनी योग की शक्ति से साम्बा के सामने आ गए। बोले, एक वरदान माँगो, तुम्हारा भला हो। और मेरा व्रत लोगों को बताने के लिए भी कुछ करो।
