तस्मिन् महातपा नाम ऋषिः परधार्मिकः । तपस्तेपे निराहारो जपन् ब्रह्म सनातनम् ॥ १७.७ ॥
tasmin mahātapā nāma ṛṣiḥ paradhārmikaḥ | tapastepe nirāhāro japan brahma sanātanam || 17.7 ||
वहाँ महातपा नाम का एक रिशि रहता था। वो धरम के बहुत पक्के थे। खाना-पीना छोड़ के तपस्या करता था और ब्रह्मा का नाम जपता रहता था।
