The ‘Iron-Bolt’ Tīrtha
Pūrva Bhāga · Tīrtha-Māhātmya (Vasiṣṭha-kuṇḍa Transition and Phala)

Curious
What is the salvific fruit of bathing/rite at Nārada-kuṇḍa, and what is the next sacred station (Vasiṣṭha-kuṇḍa) in your supreme precinct?
Contact with sanctified space, when ritually engaged, is portrayed as a means of release and ascent to the Lord’s loka.
Undertake pilgrimage as a disciplined sequence: complete one tīrtha’s rite and fruitfully proceed to the next, maintaining continuity of intention (saṅkalpa).
Implicit only: Mathurā-region kuṇḍas later become integrated into Kṛṣṇa-bhakti pilgrimage maps.
Varāha Purāṇa 151 (Nārada-kuṇḍa and Vasiṣṭha-kuṇḍa sequence)
The verse illustrates how Purāṇas construct networks of named tīrthas (associated with sages like Nārada and Vasiṣṭha) and narrate them as a sequence of spiritually efficacious sites.
Vasiṣṭha-kuṇḍa is explicitly named; it is presented as a sacred node within the text’s internal geography.
The emphasis is on progressing through tīrthas with ritual intentionality, treating the landscape as a structured field for disciplined practice.
