śrutvā durvāsasaḥ śāpaṁ te ca sarve kumārakāḥ || śāpena santapta-dhiyo mām ūcur bhaya-saṁyutāḥ ||
Varāha (default dialogue framework)
It shows how Purāṇic narratives dramatize moral causality through affective states (fear, distress), reinforcing the social seriousness of vows, speech, and transgression.
None in this verse; it is a narrative reaction scene preceding the tīrtha linkage stated later.
The verse underscores accountability: harmful consequences (real or narrated) prompt reflection and recourse to guidance.
