The Greatness of the Śālagrāma Sacred Region
ahaṃ yatra śivas tatra śivo yatra vasundhare | tatrāham api tiṣṭhāmi āvayor nāntaraṃ kvacit || śivaṃ yo vandate bhūme sa hi mām eva vandate | labhate puṣkalāṃ siddhim evaṃ yo vetti tattvataḥ ||
Varāha
It provides a clear example of abheda rhetoric used to integrate devotional communities and shared shrines, important for understanding the social history of pilgrimage and temple culture.
No distinct toponym is present in the verse; it is framed as a general doctrinal statement within the kṣetra narrative described earlier (Śālagrāma/Gaṇḍakī context).
It encourages non-exclusivist reverence and truth-oriented understanding (tattvataḥ), presenting respect across traditions as a valid philosophical stance.
