The Greatness of the Śālagrāma Sacred Region
aśvamedhaphalaṃ bhuktvā bhūme matsamatāṃ vrajet || anyac ca te pravakṣyāmi kṣetraṃ guhyaṃ paraṃ mama ||
Varāha
It signals a shift from generalized merit discourse to the naming/description of a privileged sacred landscape, a common Purāṇic mapping technique.
A 'guhya kṣetra' is announced but not yet named in this verse.
It frames practice and merit as leading toward an elevated state described as 'equality' (samatā), expressed in Purāṇic idiom.
