The Greatness of the Śālagrāma Sacred Region
athātra muñcate prāṇān mama karmasu niṣṭhitaḥ || agniṣṭomaphalaṃ bhuktvā mama lokaṃ prapadyate ||
Varāha (default, instructional voice)
It reflects a common Purāṇic motif: regulated practice at a sacred site and the textual linking of place, ritual discipline, and post-mortem outcomes.
The verse continues the description of the same kṣetra (Agniprabha) without adding new geographic markers.
Emphasis is placed on niṣṭhā—steadfastness in prescribed conduct—rather than mere proximity to a site.
