The Greatness of the Śālagrāma Sacred Region
yadīcchet paramāṃ siddhiṃ mama lokaṃ sa gacchati | kṣetrasya śālagrāmasya māhātmyaṃ paramaṃ mayā ||
Varāha
It is a climactic evaluative statement typical of māhātmya literature, linking the narration of a place’s greatness to a promised outcome.
Śāligrāma-kṣetra is explicitly named as the sacred region under discussion.
The verse frames aspiration (siddhi) as connected to disciplined engagement with the teaching and the cultural landscape it describes.
