with a Truth-Vow Exemplum
Varāha
It shows a typical Purāṇic rhetoric of ‘phala’ (result) tied to disciplined practice, useful for comparative study of soteriological promises across Purāṇas.
‘My world’ (mama loka) is a cosmological realm rather than a terrestrial place-name in this excerpt.
Sustained, substantial effort in prescribed devotional service is presented as leading to an elevated post-mortem attainment.
