स कुलं तारयेत्तूर्णं दश पूर्वान्दशावरान् ॥ न पठेन्मूर्खमध्ये तु पापिष्ठे शास्त्रदूषके
sa kulaṃ tārayet tūṛṇaṃ daśa pūrvān daśāvarān || na paṭhen mūrkha-madhye tu pāpiṣṭhe śāstra-dūṣake
यह पढ़ना आदमी के पूरे खानदान को ले देता है ऊपर, दस पीढ़ी पहले, दस बाद। लेकिन बेवकूफ लोगों के सामने मत पढ़ो। जो लोग शास्त्र को बुरा बोलते हैं, उनसे दूर रहो।
