देखो किसी के पास पैसा है, तुम्हारे पास नहीं। किसी का काम चल रहा है, तुम्हारा नहीं। गुस्सा मत करो। यही धरम है।
Varāha
Comparative suffering is not a license for resentment; dharma is steadiness amid unequal outcomes.
When envy arises, pause and reframe: cultivate gratitude, practice metta-like goodwill, and act constructively rather than reactively.
On seeing another’s prosperity and one’s own adversity, one should not generate anger; this forbearance is declared sanātana-dharma.
Forbearance reduces karmic bondage and prevents harm; envy-anger leads to sin, conflict, and further suffering.
Varāha Purāṇa 127 (sequence on inner virtues and social peace)
It preserves a strand of ethical reflection focused on emotional regulation, a theme shared across Purāṇic, epic, and śāstric literature concerned with social cohesion.
No geographic location is identified.
Do not respond with anger when comparing others’ prosperity with one’s own hardship.
