तस्मान्मया हतो भद्रेऽहितकारी विषोद्धतः ॥ प्रजापाला वयं भद्रे येऽपि चैवापथे स्थिताः ॥
tasmān mayā hato bhadre 'hitakārī viṣoddhataḥ || prajā-pālā vayaṁ bhadre ye 'pi caivāpathe sthitāḥ ||
इसलिए भद्रे, मैंने उस ज़हर वाले साँप को मार दिया जो लोगों को नुकसान कर रहा था। हम सब का रक्षक हैं, उनका भी जो गलत रास्ते पर चल पड़े हैं।
