The Greatness of Kubjāmraka: Raibhya’s Boon and the Teaching on the Sacred Tīrthas
tīrthaṃ mānasaro nāma sarvabhāgavatapriyam || tasmin snāto varārohe gacchate mānasaṃ saraḥ
Varāha (default instructor framework)
It records a Purāṇic itinerary motif: bathing at a named tīrtha is linked to attaining another sacral landscape (a lake), reflecting how texts map religious geography through narrative reward structures.
Mānasara/Mānasasaras corresponds to the Mānasarovar (Lake Manasarovar) tradition in trans-Himalayan sacred geography; precise identification is broadly accepted in scholarship, though local variants exist.
The passage promotes disciplined observance (snāna) as a cultural practice tied to place-based heritage and personal purification, presented descriptively rather than coercively.
