The Greatness of Kubjāmraka: Raibhya’s Boon and the Teaching on the Sacred Tīrthas
madhukaiṭabhau tathā hatvā brahmaṇo vacanāt tadā || jalasaṃharaṇaṃ kṛtvā mamādhāram upāgataḥ ||
Varāha
It alludes to well-known Purāṇic mythic cycles (Madhu-Kaiṭabha) and frames them as actions aligned with cosmic governance, illustrating intertextual links across Purāṇic corpora.
No specific terrestrial site is named here; the imagery is cosmological, referencing the state of waters and a foundational ‘support’ (ādhāra) rather than a mapped location.
The verse highlights action guided by counsel/command (vacana), presenting an ideal of responsibility within an ordered cosmos rather than arbitrary power.
