The Greatness of Kubjāmraka: Raibhya’s Boon and the Teaching on the Sacred Tīrthas
śakras tu vasate loke vajrahasto na saṃśayaḥ || athavā mriyate tatra śakratīrthe mahātape
Varāha (default dialogue framework)
The ‘either/or’ formulation suggests layered traditions or variant local claims, a hallmark of Purāṇic compilation and regional tīrtha lore.
Śakra-tīrtha is explicitly identified as the site associated with Śakra/Indra.
It models intellectual caution: acknowledging alternative accounts (athavā) rather than presenting a single absolute claim.
