Tripura Upanishad: Verse 5
तिस्रश्च रेखाः सदनानि भूमेस्त्रिविष्टपास्त्रिगुणास्त्रिप्रकाराः । एतत्पुरं पूरकं पूरकाणामत्र प्रथते मदनो मदन्या॥५॥
तिस्रः । च । रेखाः । सदनानि । भूमेः । त्रि-विष्टपाः । त्रि-गुणाः । त्रि-प्रकाराः । एतत् । पुरम् । पूरकम् । पूरकाणाम् । अत्र । प्रथते । मदनः । मदन्या ॥५॥
tisraś ca rekhāḥ sadanāni bhūmes trivisṭapās triguṇās triprakārāḥ | etat-puraṃ pūrakaṃ pūrakāṇām atra prathate madano madanyā ||5||
धरती के ऊपर तीन लाइन हैं, तीन स्थान हैं। तीन स्वर्ग हैं, तीन गुण हैं, तीन तरह के रूप हैं। यह शहर सबकी इच्छा पूरी करता है। यहाँ प्यार और इच्छा फैली हुई है।
And there are three lines—abodes of the earth; (there are) three heavens, three guṇas, threefold forms. This city is the fulfiller of fulfillers; here Madana (Desire) flourishes with Madanī.
