Tripura Upanishad 1: Verse 1
ॐ तिस्रः पुरास्त्रिपथा विश्वचर्षणा अत्राकथा अक्षराः सन्निविष्टाः । अधिष्ठायैना अजरा पुराणी महत्तरा महिमा देवतानाम् ॥१॥
ॐ । तिस्रः । पुराः । त्रि-पथाः । विश्व-चर्षणाः । अत्र । अकथाः । अक्षराः । सन्निविष्टाः । अधिष्ठाय । एनाः । अजराः । पुराणी । महत्तरा । महिमा । देवतानाम् ॥१॥
oṃ tisraḥ purās tripathā viśvacarṣaṇā atrākathā akṣarāḥ sanniviṣṭāḥ | adhiṣṭhāyainā ajarā purāṇī mahattarā mahimā devatānām ||1||
ॐ। तीन किले हैं और तीन रास्ते हैं जो सब लोगों को संभालते हैं। यहाँ वो बातें हैं जो बोल के नहीं समझा जा सकता, जो कभी खत्म नहीं होती। इन सब पे एक शक्ति बैठी है जो पुरानी है, बुढ़ी नहीं होती। यह शक्ति देवताओं में सबसे बड़ी है।
Om. Three are the citadels (purās), threefold are the paths, sustaining all peoples; here, the unutterable imperishables are set in place. Presiding over these, the ageless, ancient (power) is the greater glory of the deities.
