Recitation with translationSanyasa Upanishad 2.39

mayaivaitāḥ sphurantīha vicitrendriyavṛttayaḥ | tejasāntaḥprakāśena yathāgnikaṇapaṅktayaḥ ||39||

By me alone, here, these variegated modifications of the senses flash forth, by the inner illumination of (my) radiance—like rows of sparks of fire.

Ātman as the inner light (cit/tejas) that illumines sense-activities; witness-consciousness (sākṣitva)
The mahavakyas
Supports the purport of ‘ayam ātmā brahma’ and ‘tat tvam asi’ by identifying the inner illuminator (I) as the ground of all experience; not a direct mahāvākya citation.

Anuṣṭubh (śloka)

Yoga and practice

Practice of sākṣī-bhāva: observe sensory vṛttis as appearances in awareness; pratyāhāra and dhāraṇā by tracing perception back to the illumining consciousness; meditation on inner light (antar-jyotis) rather than objects.
