The gross body—accumulated through karma and produced from the five great elements that have undergone quintuplication—through the exhaustion of karma and through the maturation of meritorious action, attains de-quintuplication; becoming one with the subtle (body), it reaches the state of being causal; and that cause dissolves into the immutable inner Self (pratyagātman), the Kūṭastha. Viśva, Taijasa, and Prājña, through the dissolution of their respective limiting adjuncts, merge into the inner Self.
