Recitation with translationAdhyatma Upanishad 29

yady uttarottarābhāve pūrvarūpaṃ tu niṣphalam | nivṛttiḥ paramā tṛptir ānando'nupamaḥ svataḥ ||29||

अगला लेवल नहीं मिलने पर, पहले वाला काम नहीं आता। सब छोड़ के जो शांति मिलती है, वही सबसे बड़ी सैटिस्फैक्शन है। खुशी का कोई कंपेरिज़न नहीं।

If, in the absence of successively higher attainment, the prior stage is indeed fruitless: cessation is the supreme contentment; bliss is incomparable in itself.

Nivṛtti (cessation) as the hallmark of mokṣa; hierarchy of sādhanā culminating in intrinsic ānandaMahavakya: Indirect: aligns with Advaitic reading that Brahman/Ātman is self-established bliss (svataḥ-ānanda), but no explicit mahāvākya is quotedUnknown (verse not uniquely identifiable as Mukhya Upanishad from provided text alone; resembles later Vedantic/Prakarana-style śloka rather than Upanishadic mantra)Unknown ShakhaChandas: Anuṣṭubh (śloka meter; 4 pādas of ~8 syllables each, typical of later śloka style)
