Sukta 9.65
प्र शुक्रासो वयोजुवो हिन्वानासो न सप्तयः । श्रीणाना अप्सु मृञ्जत ॥
prá śukrā́so vayó-juvo hinvānā́so ná saptáyaḥ | śrīṇānā́ apsú mṛ́ñjata ||
Describes the rushing purified Soma-streams during preparation with waters (āpaḥ) and cleansing through filtration; used to accompany the energizing phase of Soma’s flow.
sevenfold powers (sapta) as ordered energies, purification as polishing consciousness (√mṛj), life-force (vayas) harnessed to clarity (śukra)
Sevenfold harmonized motion is R̥ta’s signature—many powers acting as one ordered force.
Purity (śukra) enables truth-perception; cleansing waters become a mirror for Satya.
Churning/purifying the waters—ordering primal flow into luminous currents.
Integral yoga psychology: purification + dynamism + coordination of multiple energies.
Horses = vital energies yoked to the path; waters = consciousness-flow; brightness = clarified mind; sevenfold = complete spectrum of powers.
Activate sevenfold energies; cleanse the ‘waters’ (emotional-mental flow) while maintaining forward aspiration.
Svadhisthana (waters) purified and lifted toward Ajna
Rhythmic breath with gentle internal counting (7-beat inhale/7-beat exhale) to embody ‘saptayaḥ’.
Energized clarity; coordinated dynamism.
Visualize seven luminous currents (or horses) moving up the spine; let them enter a clear inner lake and purify it; end with a still, bright surface in the mind.
Traditional Vedic accents; emphasize ‘pra’ as a forward launch; keep pitch discipline on repeated bright clusters (śukrāsaḥ…).
Maintain a light pause after ‘na saptayaḥ’ to let the simile land; keep ‘apsu mṛñjata’ flowing as a single cleansing gesture.
śukrāsaḥ: ś (palatal) not s; long ā, vayojuvaḥ: articulate yoj without inserting extra vowel, mṛñjata: vocalic ṛ; palatal ñ + j cluster clean
Bright, energized, slightly percussive articulation.
