Outer meaning

Flow toward the banquet (vīti) of the great gods with thy pressed juice; flow toward vāja (prize/strength) and toward śravas (fame).

Inner meaning

Soma is urged to move toward the ‘vīti’—the receiving and sharing of the great divine powers in the inner sacrifice. With ‘andhas’ (pressed essence), Soma becomes the substance of offering and also the substance of enjoyment: a purified delight that allows the gods (higher faculties) to participate. Flow also toward vāja—plenitude of force and effective capacity—and toward śravas—luminous hearing/fame, i.e., the soul’s recognition and resonance with Truth (a widening that makes one ‘heard’ by the higher planes and inwardly attuned).

Universal truth

When delight is consciously offered and purified, it draws higher powers into our life and converts aspiration into strength and true recognition in the path.

Themes

approach to the gods, plenitude of force, illumined renown, Soma as offering-substance
