Sukta 8.51
प्र यो ननक्षे अभ्योजसा क्रिविं वधैः शुष्णं निघोषयन् । यदेदस्तम्भीत्प्रथयन्नमूं दिवमादिज्जनिष्ट पार्थिवः ॥
prá yó nanakṣé abhy ójasā kríviṃ vadháiḥ śúṣṇaṃ ni-ghoṣáyan | yadéd astambhīt pratháyann amū́ṃ dívam ā́d íj janiṣṭa pā́rthivaḥ ||
वो आगे बढ़ता है जो ज़ोर से क्रिवि को मारता है। उसकी मारों से शुष्ण दबा के रह जाता है। जब उसने आसमान को पकड़ के फैलाया, तब से धरती का आधार बना। यह इंद्र की ताकत है जो दुश्मन को हरा के आगे बढ़ता है।
