अतिथिं मानुषाणां सूनुं वनस्पतीनाम् । विप्रा अग्निमवसे प्रत्नमीळते ॥
Transliteration
átithiṃ mā́nuṣāṇāṃ sūnúṃ vanaspátīnām | víprā agním ávase pratnám īḷate ||
Translation
रिशि लोग अग्नि की पूजा करते हैं और उसे मदद के लिए पुकारते हैं। अग्नि इंसान का मेहमान है, जब भी कोई हवन करता है वो आता है। उसे वनस्पति का बेटा भी कहते हैं क्योंकि लकड़ी से आग बनती है। वो बहुत पुराना है और लोग उसपे भरोसा करते हैं।
