This short Aśvin hymn opens with the dawn-lit emergence of Agni and the rising of inspired, godward speech, then urgently invites the Aśvins to turn their chariot toward the prepared gharmá (warming, invigorating draught). It calls the Twin Healers to come at all junction-times—morning, midday, day and night—so the delight-giving drink and their protection never fail. The hymn culminates in a prayer to travel in harmony with their “ever-new” aid and to receive wealth, heroic strength, and enduring auspiciousness.

आ भात्यग्निरुषसामनीकमुद्विप्राणां देवया वाचो अस्थुः । अर्वाञ्चा नूनं रथ्येह यातं पीपिवांसमश्विना घर्ममच्छ ॥
अग्नि चमक रहा है, सुबह की रोशनी जैसा। रिशि लोग भगवान के लिए बोल रहे हैं। अश्विन ब्रदर्स, अपना रथ लेकर आओ। यहाँ मीठा पानी तैयार है तुम्हारे लिए।

न संस्कृतं प्र मिमीतो गमिष्ठान्ति नूनमश्विनोपस्तुतेह । दिवाभिपित्वेऽवसागमिष्ठा प्रत्यवर्तिं दाशुषे शम्भविष्ठा ॥
तुम सिर्फ प्लान के हिसाब से मत आओ। जब लोग तुम्हारे लिए गाते हैं, तब तुरंत आओ। दिन में भी, रात में भी, मदद लेकर आओ। जो लोग देते हैं, उनका काम आसान करो।

उता यातं संगवे प्रातरह्नो मध्यंदिन उदिता सूर्यस्य । दिवा नक्तमवसा शंतमेन नेदानीं पीतिरश्विना ततान ॥
सुबह आओ, दोपहर में जब सूरज ऊपर हो, तब भी आओ। दिन में भी, रात में भी, शांति लेकर आओ। अश्विन ब्रदर्स, अभी मीठा पानी हमारे लिए तैयार हो।

इदं हि वां प्रदिवि स्थानमोक इमे गृहा अश्विनेदं दुरोणम् । आ नो दिवो बृहतः पर्वतादाद्भ्यो यातमिषमूर्जं वहन्ता ॥
अश्विन भाइयों, यह ऊपर आसमान में तुम्हारा अपना घर है। यह सब घर तुम्हारे लिए ही हैं। बड़े आसमान से, पहाड़ से, पानी से, यहाँ आओ। हमें ताकत लाओ और खाना लाओ।

समश्विनोरवसा नूतनेन मयोभुवा सुप्रणीती गमेम । आ नो रयिं वहतमोत वीराना विश्वान्यमृता सौभगानि ॥
अश्विन भाइयों की मदद से हम आगे बढ़ें। उनकी मदद हमेशा नयी होती है और खुशी देती है। हमें धन लाओ, ताकत लाओ। जो भी अच्छा है, सब कुछ लाओ।
