Sukta 5.52
अच्छ ऋषे मारुतं गणं दाना मित्रं न योषणा । दिवो वा धृष्णव ओजसा स्तुता धीभिरिषण्यत ॥
áccha ṛṣe mārútam gáṇaṃ dānā́ mítraṃ ná yóṣaṇā | divó vā dhṛṣṇava ójasā stutā́ dhī́bhir iṣaṇyata ||
Invitation (āhvāna) and praise; aligns affect (friendship/delight) with force (ojas) to propel the rite
Mitra principle (harmony) within dynamic force, dhī as inspired intelligence, iṣ (impulsion) as evolutionary drive
Mitra imagery implies harmony and right relation—ṛta in social/psychic order.
dhī as truth-inspired cognition.
Descent of force from ‘heaven’ into embodied life to propel evolution.
Integral Yoga resonance: higher-force descent + inner consent.
Sky = higher mind; storm/wind = energizing purification; friend/beloved = bhakti-toned receptivity.
Feel the Maruts as ‘friend and beloved’: invite supportive force without strain; then allow a spontaneous forward impulse to arise.
Anāhata (friend/beloved) + Maṇipūra (impelling force)
Inhale with ‘accha’ (inviting), exhale with ‘iṣaṇyata’ (impelling).
Devotional receptivity turning into dynamic tapas.
Chant 9 times; after chanting, write one inspired thought (dhī) and take one decisive action within 10 minutes.
Ṛgvedic accenting; emphasize accha (invitation) and iṣaṇyata (impulsion) with clear pitch movement per śākhā.
Keep sandhi clear: ‘accha ṛṣe’ not merged into a blur; sustain long vowels in yoṣaṇā, ojasā.
accha: double cch, aspirate lightly, ṛṣe: vocalic ṛ, dhṛṣṇavaḥ: retroflex ṣṇ cluster, iṣaṇyata: ṣ is retroflex; ‘ṇy’ glide in -ṇya-
Warm at start, then brighter and more forceful by the final pada.
