Sukta 4.2
यो मर्त्येष्वमृत ऋतावा देवो देवेष्वरतिर्निधायि । होता यजिष्ठो मह्ना शुचध्यै हव्यैरग्निर्मनुष ईरयध्यै ॥
yó martyeṣv amṛ́ta ṛtā́vā devó devéṣv aratír nidhā́yi | hotā́ yájiṣṭho mahnā́ śucádhyai havyáir agnír mánuṣa īrayádhyai ||
वो इंसानों में रहता है पर मरता नहीं। वो सच का देता है। देवताओं में काम करने वाला बना है। अग्नि पुजारी है, यज्ञ का सबसे बड़ा जानकर। अपनी ताकत से रोशनी जगाता है। हवन से इंसान को आगे बढ़ाता है।
