Agni
Trishtubh (probable; confirm in edition)
This six-verse hymn to Agni presents him as the sovereign of heroic power (suvīrya), prosperity (saubhaga), and wealth (rāy), and as the effective force behind victory over obstructing powers (vṛtra-han). It praises Agni as the accomplisher who has “worked” across the worlds and among the gods, and it turns that vision into a direct exhortation to strive toward the gods through sacrifice. The hymn concludes with a compact prayer for vāja (vital strength and winning power), abundant increase, delight-bearing energy (mayobhū), wide splendor (tuvi-dyumna), and lasting fame (yaśas).

Mantra 1
अयमग्निः सुवीर्यस्येशे महः सौभगस्य । राय ईशे स्वपत्यस्य गोमत ईशे वृत्रहथानाम् ॥
यह अग्नि वीरों का मालिक है। बड़ी खुशी और कामयाबी देता है। धन और संपत्ति का मालिक है। गाय और चमक वाली चीजों का मालिक है। दुश्मनों को हराने वाला है।
Mantra 2
इमं नरो मरुतः सश्चता वृधं यस्मिन्रायः शेवृधासः । अभि ये सन्ति पृतनासु दूढ्यो विश्वाहा शत्रुमादभुः ॥
हे लोगों, मरुत्स के साथ रहो। एक ऐसी ताकत बढ़ रही है जिसमें धन बढ़ता है। ये लोग लड़ाई में पक्के रहते हैं। हर दिन दुश्मन पर जीत लेते हैं।

स त्वं नो रायः शिशीहि मीढ्वो अग्ने सुवीर्यस्य । तुविद्युम्न वर्षिष्ठस्य प्रजावतोऽनमीवस्य शुष्मिणः ॥
अग्नि, तू देने वाला है। हमारे लिए धन और ताकत तेज़ कर दे। ऐसा धन जो चमकदार हो, जो बढ़ता रहे, जिसमें औलाद हो, कोई बुराई न हो, और पूरा बल हो।

चक्रिर्यो विश्वा भुवनाभि सासहिश्चक्रिर्देवेष्वा दुवः । आ देवेषु यतत आ सुवीर्य आ शंस उत नृणाम् ॥
वो सब दुनिया पर जीता है और देवताओं की सेवा करता है। देवताओं की तरफ जाओ, ताकत की तरफ जाओ, अच्छे बोलने की तरफ जाओ, और लोगों की तारीफ की तरफ जाओ।

मा नो अग्नेऽमतये मावीरतायै रीरधः । मागोतायै सहसस्पुत्र मा निदेऽप द्वेषांस्या कृधि ॥
अग्नि, हमें ऐसे मत छोड़ जहाँ हम सोचें नहीं, ताकत खो दें, या ज्ञान की किरणें खो दें। हे बल का बेटा, हमें बुरा मत कहो और दुश्मनी हमसे दूर कर दो।

शग्धि वाजस्य सुभग प्रजावतोऽग्ने बृहतो अध्वरे । सं राया भूयसा सृज मयोभुना तुविद्युम्न यशस्वता ॥
अग्नि, तू भाग्य देता है। बड़े यज्ञ में हमें ताकत और धन दे। ऐसा धन जो ज़्यादा हो, सुख दे, चमक हो और नाम बने।
