Sukta 3.1
पितुश्च गर्भं जनितुश्च बभ्रे पूर्वीरेको अधयत्पीप्यानाः । वृष्णे सपत्नी शुचये सबन्धू उभे अस्मै मनुष्ये नि पाहि ॥
pitúś ca gárbhaṃ janitúś ca babhre pūrvī́r éko adhayat pī́pyānāḥ | vṛ́ṣṇe sapatnī́ śúcaye sábandhū ubhé asmai manuṣyé ní pāhi ||
अग्नि ने बाप और पैदा करने वाले दोनों का बीज अपने पास लिया। वो अकेला है, लेकिन उसने बहुत सारी शक्तियों को पानी पिलाया है। दो बहनें हैं जो एक दूसरे की रिवल हैं, दोनों एक ही बैल के लिए हैं। दोनों साफ हैं, दोनों के अपने लोग हैं। इन दोनों की मदद से यह इंसान सही जगह पर रहे।
