Sukta 10.37
नमो मित्रस्य वरुणस्य चक्षसे महो देवाय तदृतं सपर्यत । दूरेदृशे देवजाताय केतवे दिवस्पुत्राय सूर्याय शंसत ॥
námo mitrásya váruṇasya cákṣase mahó devā́ya tád ṛtáṃ saparyata | dūré-dṛ́śe devájātāya kétave divás-putrā́ya sū́ryāya śaṃsata ||
सूर्य देव का नाम लेते हैं, जो मित्र और वरुण की आँख है। यह बड़े भगवान हैं, इनकी सत्य की सेवा करो। यह बहुत दूर तक देख सकते हैं, इनकी रोशनी सबको दिखती है। यह आसमान के बेटा हैं, सूर्य की प्रशंसा करो।
