Outer meaning

Sūrya has yoked the seven purifying ones, the chariot’s offspring; by them he travels with self-yoked harnessings.

Inner meaning

The solar consciousness does not merely arrive; it organizes the means of its movement. The ‘seven śundhyuvaḥ’ are purifying forces—rays that cleanse perception and energy. Called ‘rathasya naptyaḥ’ (the chariot’s offspring), they are subtle derivatives of the embodied vehicle: refined faculties born from life when it is taken up by light. ‘Svayuktibhiḥ’ indicates self-harmonized energies—powers that, once aligned with truth, act spontaneously without ego-strain. In sādhanā this is the stage where illumination yokes the instruments so that action becomes natural, clean, and inwardly guided.

Universal truth

When truth-light yokes and purifies the faculties, progress becomes self-sustaining: aligned energies carry the being forward without inner friction.
