गङ्गावतरण-प्रार्थना
Bhagīratha’s Petition for the Descent of Gaṅgā
तमेवमुक्त्वा राजानं गङ्गां चाभाष्य लोककृत् ।
जगाम त्रिदिवं देवस्सहदेवैर्मरुद्गणैः ॥२५॥
tam evam uktvā rājānaṁ gaṅgāṁ cābhāṣya lokakṛt |
jagāma tridivaṁ devas saha devair marudgaṇaiḥ ||25||
ब्रह्मा ने राजा को यह सब बताया। फिर गंगा को भी समझाया। फिर वो देवता लोगों और मरुत गण के साथ स्वर्ग चले गए।
The Creator of the worlds having thus addressed the king and conversing with Ganga went towards heaven along with devatas and maruts".ityārṣē śrīmadrāmāyaṇē vālmīkīya ādikāvyē bālakāṇḍē dvicatvāriṅśassarga:৷৷Thus ends the fortysecond sarga of Balakanda of the holy Ramayana the first epic composed by sage Valmiki.
Dharma proceeds through ordered delegation: once guidance is given, the seeker must act—divine help supports effort but does not replace it.
Brahmā concludes his counsel to Bhagīratha (and Gaṅgā) and returns to heaven with the gods and Maruts, ending the sarga’s divine audience.
Resolve in action—Bhagīratha must now approach Śiva, showing disciplined follow-through after receiving instruction.
