ताटकावृत्तान्तः · The Account of Tāṭakā and the Royal Duty to Protect
ददौ नागसहस्रस्य बलं चास्याः पितामहः ।
नत्वेव पुत्रं यक्षाय ददौ ब्रह्मा महायशाः ॥६॥
dadau nāgasahasrasya balaṃ cāsyāḥ pitāmahaḥ |
na tv eva putraṃ yakṣāya dadau brahmā mahāyaśāḥ ||6||
ब्रह्मा ने उस बेटी को एक हज़ार हाथी जैसी ताकत दी। लेकिन उस यक्ष को बेटा नहीं दिया। ब्रह्मा इतने बड़े थे, सब उनको मानते थे।
The illustrious grandsire Brahma granted her the strength of a thousand elephants,but did not bestow a son on the yaksha.
