ताटकावृत्तान्तः · The Account of Tāṭakā and the Royal Duty to Protect
अथ तस्याप्रमेयस्य मुनेर्वचनमुत्तमम् ।
श्रुत्वा पुरुषशार्दूलः प्रत्युवाच शुभां गिरम् ॥१॥
atha tasyāprameyasya muner vacanam uttamam |
śrutvā puruṣa-śārdūlaḥ pratyuvāca śubhāṃ giram ||1||
उस बड़े रिशि ने जो बात कही, वो सुन के राम ने जवाब दिया। राम आदमियों में शेर जैसा है। उन्होंने आराम से, अच्छी बात कही।
On hearing the excellent words of Viswamitra, a sage with unimaginable faculty. Rama, the tiger among men (Rama) replied in a, gentle voice:
Dharma here is maryādā in speech: one responds to elders and teachers with respectful, auspicious words after listening carefully.
