A dharmic mind does not ignore suffering: even in exalted company it remains attentive to injustice, seeking truthful understanding rather than distraction.
Brahmā and Vālmīki are seated, but Vālmīki’s attention remains on the troubling event at the river.
Vālmīki’s deep moral sensitivity and sustained focus.
