Vayu, the wind-god, begot a son named Hanuman, mighty and graceful, having a body as hard as a diamond and speed equal to Garuda's.
Dharma is served by unwavering strength and capability placed in service: Hanumān’s extraordinary powers foreshadow their use for truthful, selfless aid to Rāma.
The narrative introduces Hanumān’s divine parentage and exceptional physical qualities as part of the creation of allies.
Vīrya (heroic power) coupled with readiness for service—strength that will become disciplined devotion.
