रामदर्शनार्थं दारानयनम् · The Queens Summoned; Rama’s Leave
Taking and Dasaratha’s Collapse
स रामप्रेषितः क्षिप्रं सन्तापकलुषेन्द्रियः ।
प्रविश्य नृपतिं सूतो निश्वसन्तं ददर्श ह ॥२॥
sa rāmapreṣitaḥ kṣipraṃ santāpakaluṣendriyaḥ |
praviśya nṛpatiṃ sūto niḥśvasantaṃ dadarśa ha ||2||
सुमंत्र राम का काम कर रहा था। वो बहुत दुखी था, उसका मन भर गया था। जल्दी से अंदर गया राजा के पास। राजा काँप रहा था और गहरी साँसें ले रहा था।
At the command of Rama, charioteer Sumantra whose senses were overwhelmed with grief quickly entered the apartment of the king and found him heaving sighs.
Dharma here appears as faithful service: Sumantra carries out Rama’s instruction promptly even while personally overwhelmed by sorrow, showing duty maintained under emotional strain.
