पितृवाक्यपालनम्, गयाश्रुति-उपदेशः, भरतस्य राज्यग्रहण-निर्देशः

त्वं राजा भरत भव स्वयं नराणां वन्यानामहमपि राजराण्मृगाणाम् ।
गच्छ त्वं पुरवरमद्य सम्प्रहृष्टस्संहृष्टस्त्वहमपि दण्डकान्प्रवेक्ष्ये ॥१७॥
tvaṃ rājā bharata bhava svayaṃ narāṇāṃ vanyānām aham api rājarāṭ mṛgāṇām |
gaccha tvaṃ puravaram adya samprahṛṣṭaḥ saṃhṛṣṭas tv aham api daṇḍakān pravekṣye ||17||
भरत, तुम राजा बनो, लोगों का राज करो। मैं जंगल में जाके जानवरों का राजा बनूंगा। तुम आज खुश हो के अयोध्या जाओ। मैं भी खुश हो के डंडका जंगल में चला जाऊंगा।
O Bharata, be the king of men. I shall also become the supreme king of the wild beasts in the forest. Go now happily to Ayodhya, the best of cities, and I shall enter Dandaka forest with delight.
