Sukta 9
स्त्रियः॑ स॒तीस्ताँ उ॑ मे पुं॒सः आ॑हुः॒ पश्य॑दक्ष॒ण्वान् न वि चे॑तद॒न्धः । क॒विर्यः पु॒त्रः स ई॒मा चि॑केत॒ यस्ता वि॑जा॒नात् स पि॒तुष्पि॒तास॑त्
stríyaḥ satī́s tā́n u me púṃsa ā́huḥ páśyad akṣaṇvā́n ná ví cetad ándhaḥ | kavír yáḥ putráḥ sá īmā́ś ciketa yás tā́ víjānāt sá pitúṣ pitā́ asat
Women they are in sooth—yet them, for me, men call they: the blind one, though he see and hath eyes, discerned it not aright. The seer, the son—he hath perceived these; who knoweth them distinctly, he were father of the father.
वो औरतें हैं लेकिन लोग उनको मर्द बोलते हैं। अंधा इंसान आँखें रख के भी सही से नहीं देख पाता। जो ऋषि है, जो बेटा है, वो समझ गया। जो इनको पहचान लेता है, वो अपने बाप का बाप बन जाता है।
