Sukta 6
ये अ॒म्नो जा॒तान् मा॒रय॑न्ति॒ सूति॑का अनु॒शेर॑ते । स्त्रीभा॑गान् पि॒ङ्गो ग॑न्ध॒र्वान् वातो॑ अ॒भ्रमि॑वाजतु
yé amnáḥ jātā́n māráyanti sūtíkā anuśérate | strībhā́gān píṅgo gandharvā́n vā́to abhrám-iva ā́jatu
They who from the birth would slay the newborn, who follow and lie beside the lying-in woman—those woman-sharing Gandharvas may Piṅga, as wind a cloud, drive forth away.
जो लोग पैदा होते ही बच्चे को मारते हैं, और माँ के पास रहते हैं उसको तकलीफ देने के लिए, उनको पिंगा भगाएगा। यह लोग गंधर्व हैं जो औरतों के पीछे पड़े हैं। पिंगा उनको हवा के जैसे भगाएगा, जैसे हवा बादल को उड़ाके ले जाती है।
