Sukta 4
मा नो॒ रक्षो॑ अ॒भि न॑ड् यातु॒माव॒दपो॑च्छन्तु मिथु॒ना ये कि॑मी॒दिनः॑ । पृ॒थि॒वी नः॒ पार्थि॑वात् पा॒त्वंह॑सो॒ऽन्तरि॑क्षं दि॒व्यात् पा॑त्व॒स्मान्
mā́ no rákṣo abhí naṭ yātu mā́vat | ápa ucchantu mithunā́ yé kīmīdínaḥ | pṛthivī́ naḥ pārthivā́t pātv áṃhasaḥ | antárikṣaṁ divyā́t pātv asmā́n ||
Let not the Rākṣas come leaping against us, unavailing to harm; away let the paired Kīmīdin fiends be chased. Let Earth from earthly peril guard us from distress; let Mid-air from heavenly peril guard us.
राक्षस हमारे पास आके कूद न सके, कुछ नुकसान न कर सके। जो जोड़ी में आते हैं बुरी जानवर, उनको भगा देना है। धरती हमको धरती के खतरे से बचाये, आसमान हमको आसमान के खतरे से बचाये।
