Sukta 11
स॒त्यम॒हं ग॑भी॒रः काव्ये॑न स॒त्यं जा॒तेना॑स्मि जा॒तवे॑दाः । न मे॑ दा॒सो नार्यो॑ महि॒त्वा व्र॒तं मी॑माय॒ यद॒हं ध॑रि॒ष्ये
satyám aháṃ gabhīráḥ kāvyéna satyáṃ jāténāsmi jātávedāḥ | ná me dāsó ná ā́ryo mahitvā́ vratáṃ mīmāya yád aháṃ dhariṣyé ||
True am I, deep by poetic craft; truly by birth am I Jātavedas. Neither Dāsa nor Ārya, by greatness, hath measured out the vow which I shall maintain.
मैं सच बोल रहा हूँ, और मेरे पास गेहरी बात है। मैं सच में पैदा हुआ हूँ, और मुझे ग्यान है। कोई दास नहीं, कोई आर्य नहीं, कोई भी इतना बड़ा नहीं है कि मेरा व्रत नाप सक्के। जो मैंने कसम ली है, मैं उसे पक्कर के रखूंगा।
