इंद्र की ताकत बढ़ती है जोश के लिए। वो वृत्र को मारता है, हमारे लोगों के साथ। बड़े और जीतने वाले इंद्र को हम बुलाते हैं। छोटी ज़रूरत हो या बड़ी, हम उसे याद करते हैं। लड़ाई में वो आगे बढ़के हमारी मदद करे।

असि॒ हि वी॑र॒ सेन्योऽसि॒ भूरि॑ पराद॒दिः । असि॑ द॒भ्रस्य॑ चिद् वृ॒धो यज॑मानाय शिक्षसि सुन्व॒ते भूरि॑ ते॒ वसु॑
इंद्र, तू एक बहादुर है, सेना का। तू बहुत कुछ बाँटता है। थोड़ा भी हो, तू उसे बड़ा कर देता है। जो यजमान है, जो सोम पीता है, उनको तू धन देता है, बहुत सारा।

यदु॒दीर॑त आ॒जयो॑ धृ॒ष्णवे॑ धीयते॒ धना॑ । यु॒क्ष्वा म॑द॒च्युता॒ हरी॒ कं हनः॒ कं वसौ॑ दधो॒ऽस्मां इ॑न्द्र॒ वसौ॑ दधः
जब लड़ाई शुरू होती है और जीतने का इनाम रखा होता है, तब अपने दो घोड़े जोड़े। वो दोनों जोश में भीगे हैं। तू किसको मारता है, किसको अमीर बना देता है? इंद्र, हमें भी अमीर बना दे।

मदे॑मदे॒ हि नो॑ द॒दिर्यू॒था गवा॑मृजु॒क्रतुः॑ । सं गृ॑भाय पु॒रु श॒तोभ॑याह॒स्त्या वसु॑ शिशी॒हि रा॒य आ भ॑र
हर खुशी में तू हमें देता है। तू सीधा इरादा रखता है और हमारे पास गायें बढ़ाता है। दोनों हाथों से पकड़ के सौ गुना ज़्यादा धन ला। हमारा फायदा तेज़ कर और यहाँ धन-पैसा ले आ।

इंद्र, सोम पी और खुश हो जा। तुम स्ट्रांग हो, तुम देना जानते हो। हम जानते हैं तुम्हारे पास बहुत खज़ाना है। हम तुमसे अपनी इच्छा माँग रहे हैं। अब तुम हमारा हेल्पर बनो।

ए॒ते त॑ इन्द्र ज॒न्तवो॒ विश्वं॑ पुष्यन्ति॒ वार्य॑म्। अ॒न्तर्हि ख्यो जना॑नाम॒र्यो वेदो॒ अदा॑शुषां॒ तेषां॑ नो॒ वेद॒ आ भ॑र
इंद्र, तुम्हारी जनता सब अच्छी चीज़ों को बढ़ाये जा रही है। लोगों में तुम्हारा नाम है, तुम्हारे पास वो नॉलेज है जो देना वाले को मिलती है। जो लोग नहीं देते, उनसे वो नॉलेज लेकर हमें दो।
