Sukta 125
पु॒त्रमि॑व पि॒तरा॑व॒श्विनो॒भेन्द्रा॒वथुः॒ काव्यै॑र्दं॒सना॑भिः । यत् सु॒रामं॒ व्यपि॑बः॒ शची॑भिः॒ सर॑स्वती त्वा मघवन्नभिष्णक्
putrám-iva pitarāv aśvinó bhā́ índrāvathuḥ kā́vyair daṃsanā́bhiḥ | yát surā́ṃ vyápibaḥ śácībhiḥ sárasvatī tvā maghavann abhiṣṇák
As parents a son, the two Aśvins—yea—protected thee, O Indra, with Kāvya-craft and wondrous powers; when thou didst drink the surā with thy efficacious might, Sarasvatī, O Maghavan, set thee forward in strength.
अश्विन भाई जैसे माँ बाप अपने बेटे की रक्षा करते हैं, वैसे ही उन्होंने इंद्र की हिफाज़त की। उनके पास कला और चमत्कार दोनों थे। जब इंद्र ने शराब पी और ताकत दिखाई, तब सरस्वती ने उसे और मज़बूत बनाया। यह सब इंद्र के लिए था जो देने वाला है।
